Columbia artist, Jordan Sheridan, was announced as the winner of the 2022 701 CCA Prize, a biennial juried award for South Carolina artists under 40 that is presented by the 701 Center for Contemporary Art in Columbia’s Olympia neighborhood.

Jordan Sheridan, is an emerging artist with a strong focus on installation art. She was recently named an SCAC Emerging Artist for FY2022. Jordan is currently is a full-time faculty instructor at the University of South Carolina's School of Visual Art and Design where she teaches courses in painting. Jordan's installation, THE MOTHER, was featured in the 701 CCA Biennial of 2021 and at the 2022 ArtFields competition, the latter of which earned her a summer residency at the McColl Center in Charlotte. Jordan Sheridan has also received a residency through Stormwater Studios in Columbia.
