Cajal, Scientific Drawings and Landscapes

Cajal's scientific drawings are a testament to his observational skills and his ability to translate what he saw into a visual language that could be understood by others. I am struck by the beauty of his drawings and the level of detail he was able to capture. By painting landscapes from his birthplace and juxtaposing them with neuron imagery, I am trying to create a visual representation of the environment that inspired his scientific work.
